J.O.Y. Ministries began with a team of youth leaders in Adair County organizing mission trips around the United States and abroad. In the fall of 2011, God impressed upon the team the desire to serve people in the local community stricken by poverty, single parenthood, and drugs. Since then, J.O.Y Ministries has been working to share the love of Jesus with everyone, regardless of their past or current situation. J.O.Y Ministries desires to demonstrate to others through personal relationships the life change that comes with knowing our Savior.
We currently organize a local mission week, hold a summer camp and afterschool program for at-risk youth, organize national and international mission trips for youth and adults from our area, and run a local crisis resource center and emergency shelter in our town.
